About us

Fresh Fit Subs was established in 2012 as a second generation Subway Franchisee corporation operated by the Furling family. Sisters Alyssa and Chelsea Furling began fully operating the company in 2019. They come from a long line of Entrepreneurs (their Great Grandma Ella Furling was the first female plumber licensed in the state of Missouri) and plan to expand Fresh Fit Subs, Inc to include other restaurant concepts and businesses in Central Illinois. Currently, Fresh Fit operates 8 Subway locations in Springfield, Jacksonville, Chatham and Williamsville, Illinois and employees approximately 65 employees in these communities. Our average hourly wage is $14.10 (Q2/2022) and we strive to provide opportunities for advancement and career training for our team, including Food Sanitation Manager Training, Monthly Bonus Opportunities, and advancement opportunities.

Chelsea currently serves as CEO, directing the daily operations of the company. You'll often see her in-store and she'll even make you a sub! Alyssa works from our corporate office as Director of Finances.
